Course overview

The aim of this module is to familiarize students with the process of computer game production and the role of computer game producers in the overall process of computer game development. The focus of the module is on the business, organizational, financial, development and marketing aspects of the role of a computer game producer.
This module is a mandatory part of the study program and provides a foundation for producer activities in the field of the computer game industry. The skills acquired in this module will significantly contribute to the development of the student as a professional in the respective fields.
The knowledge check of the module is based on solving a series of small practical tasks and on individual student projects.

Content

Students will learn:
• categorize studios for the development of computer games
• show sales and post-sales activities in the field of computer game development
• compare individual forms of monetization of computer games
• analyze the organizational structures of computer game development studios
• evaluate the appropriateness of certain strategies for the development and marketing of computer games
• classify project resources
• create a schedule of project activities.
