Course overview

The objectives goal of this module is to enable students to:
• understand and be able to implement networking technologies for connecting multiple remote user locations,
• manipulate traffic routing in the network and monitor the network infrastructure.

Students learn to implement:
• advanced networking concepts and technologies
• mechanisms for classification and filtering network traffic
• DHCP and NAT mechanisms in the network
• IPv4 to IPv6 transition mechanisms
• basic telecom infrastructure technologies
• network monitoring solutions

This module is important because it introduces students to basic telecom infrastructure technologies used to connect remote customers' location and their implementation. After successfully passing this module students will be able to implement mechanisms for classification of network traffic transition from IPv4 to IPv6 network as well as how to monitor and maintain complex network infrastructure.
