Course overview

The objective of this module is to enable students to learn to:
• analyse different structures, concepts and standards of business information systems
• analyse business information systems in the context of support for business functions

Students learn: the terms and concepts of business information systems, the purpose and use of business information systems in decision making and support for business functions, and the strategic management of business information systems.

It is important for students to take this module in order to understand the value of good business information systems, because each student may be part of a business system upon graduation.
