MELIA project for broader media literacy

Unfortunately, we have all come across hate speech and "fake news" in the media; especially in the electronic ones, and on social networks. That is why media literacy is becoming increasingly important today. It is important for the recipients of media content to know from which sources  information come, how reliable they are, how to recognize the manipulative ones…

We are therefore really glad that Algebra is one of the partners of the #MELIA project, which wants to strengthen the media literacy and provide everyone with tools for checking media content. The main goal of this project is to establish a kind of "observatory" for media literacy that will provide citizens with tools for better insight into the nature of media content and thus strengthen their media literacy. It is one of the most reliable ways to strengthen the influence of the public voice in the world of information and further the progress of a sustainable democracy.

As these are really important issues, we invite you to join the virtual kick-off meeting on October 22, 2020 and learn more about this project!
