International Week(end) 2023

We are thrilled to share with you the exciting news about the recent International Week(end) event hosted by Algebra University College's International Office. This year's event took place from 26th to 29th April 2023 and brought together more than 20 partners and partner institutions from 14 countries to promote international mobility programs and inform students and employees about international opportunities.

The event began with Worldwide Welcome Wednesday, 26 April 2023, with a warm welcome from Tomislav Dominković, CEO of Algebra Group, and Mislav Balković, Ph.D., Dean of Algebra University College. They shared the story of Algebra and introduced the upcoming plans. Phoebe Yu, the Academic Partnerships Manager of Goldsmiths, University of London, also presented the partnership between Goldsmiths and Algebra. Heads of Study Programmes and Algebra alumni presented study programmes in Applied Computer Engineering, Multimedia Production, Market Communication Design, and Digital Marketing. The first day ended with a campus tour, lunch, and networking, followed by a guided Zagreb sightseeing tour.

On Experience Thursday, 27 April 2023, participants had the opportunity to participate in networking sessions, experience sharing, and workshops moderated by Ines Bezjak Kožnjak, head of Human Resources at Algebra, Nada Kaurin Knežević, professor at the Department of Economics, and Zrinka Borić, Erasmus+ and Exchange Coordinator. Workshop moderators shared their experiences and knowledge, and the participants gained valuable insights into international opportunities. The International Office presented its international strategy, highlighting the importance of strengthening existing partnerships and introducing new ways of cooperation.

International Friday, 28 April 2023, was dedicated to the International Fair and partner presentations. The aim was to inform Algebra University College students and employees about various international opportunities. Partners shared their experiences, knowledge, and available programmes for international mobility for studies and traineeships, summer schools and camps.

International Week(end) officially ended with Explore Croatia Saturday, 29 April 2023, with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Plitvice Lakes where the participants enjoyed the breathtaking beauty of its 16 lakes.

We would like to thank all the partners, Algebra University College employees and students who took part in the International Week(end) 2023. It was a fantastic opportunity to promote international mobility opportunities and to strengthen cooperation with partner institutions.
