The Erasmus+ AI4PPP project is pleased to announce the launch of Project Result 7 (PR7), the last phase in our mission to develop innovative Artificial Intelligence (AI) training to help people in different industries learn about AI. PR7 will officially begin on September 1st, 2024, and will run until December 31st, 2024. AI4PPP project partners – teams from the School of Applied Social Sciences in Slovenia, the University of Alcalá in Spain, and Algebra University College in Croatia will focus on the essential steps needed to register our micro-credential programs with national agencies, ensuring they meet the required national standards and quality benchmarks.

Micro-credentials are gaining momentum as a flexible and targeted approach to education, allowing learners to acquire specific skills and knowledge that are directly applicable to their careers. Unlike traditional degrees, which can take years to complete, micro-credentials offer shorter, modular courses that can be stacked to build comprehensive expertise in a particular area. This is particularly important in the context of Industry 4.0, where digital transformation is reshaping industries at an unprecedented pace.

As the global economy recovers from the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for short, flexible learning options is on the rise. Employers are increasingly seeking candidates with verified skills that can be quickly adapted to meet the evolving needs of the workplace. Micro-credentials fulfil this need by providing a structured, recognized way for individuals to upskill or reskill, ensuring they remain competitive in the job market.

As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality AI education, PR7 will lay the groundwork for formal recognition of these micro-credentials across different countries, making them a valuable asset for learners and employers alike.
