The DIVERSE European University Alliance represents an innovative alliance of twelve universities from eleven European countries, which fosters a collaborative relationship between students, teachers, researchers and industry stakeholders, promoting a sustainable, inclusive and innovative future for Europe. Founded on the vision encapsulated in its name Digital and Innovative Venture Science Education for Resilient and Sustainable Entrepreneurship the Alliance was awarded the Seal of Excellence by the European Commission in 2024.

The DIVERSE European University Alliance provides space for transnational cooperation in higher education, with a strong focus on technological innovation and entrepreneurship, as a response to current social and economic challenges. Through its collaborative strategy, it seeks to offer students, teachers and researchers the opportunity to develop in a flexible and dynamic environment that supports international mobility and promotes sustainable solutions for society. The principal areas of the Alliance´s work include circular economy, school for life as well as individual and community well-being.

Context

The European Union is facing three major concerns: sustainable economic growth, climate change and security. To address them, the DIVERSE European University Alliance has adopted a strategic response: digital and ecological transition, aligning itself with the principles of Industry 5.0 and the European Union’s strategic objectives on sustainability and innovation.

Mission

The DIVERSE European University Alliance aims to become a global leader in venture science, convening more than 150.000 students and 15.000 educators and researchers on a European and multidisciplinary university campus, where European values are promoted. Its long-term strategy covers all missions of higher education: education, research and innovation as well as service to society, regionally, nationally and transnationally.
